Another 4 FFA Cup ties tonight with Edgeworth Eagles v WSW being the TV game. This game has been moved to another ground in/near Newcastle, possible because it's bigger and maybe has better floodlights. It's called Magic Park so hopefully the game produces some. Devonport City from Tasmania are at home to Bentleigh Greens, Melbourne Knights v Green Gully in an all Victorian NPL tie and an all A-League tie that XIII is going to with Perth Glory at home to Sydney FC. This game is not at Perth Glory's home ground but a smaller WA NPL ground, This game kicks off 30 minutes later than the other 3 so Foxtel will probably cross to cover it if the main game doesn't go to extra-time. Would be good to see Edgeworth and Devonport winning.

Shite game for us, played our lb in the Rb slot, and a few other things like that. We never really got out of first gear and could see we were running out of steam coming up to 90mins.

First goal for Sydney was well taken and second wasn't bad either. Hey Ho onwards and upwards.

We played at the home of Perth Sc, really hard ground to get to and not much parking available. Our home Nib is out of the question all week due to the Socceroos game

Not a bad night, first half was frustrating as our defence was just going through the motions, but equally rogic hit the bar.

Second half was much better, went out and attacked and got two good goals aswel as another shot off the woodwork.

One month until the season starts and you wouldn't know it going by the FFA.

The lack of promotion of the new season is insane, I've honestly seen nothing on TV, sbs or fox, nothing in the papers and only the odd post on Facebook.

They should be hammering on about the season launch, bigging up the league, especially if we want it to get more popular than gayfl..
It's almost as if the ffa don't care about the league anymore

The Advertiser in Adelaide has a full or part page most days that usually has an Adelaide United update and a few other football tales. Not too many about the A-League though. They did have a write up about the local NPL Grand Final yesterday and the Sunday paper has a small report and picture compared with about half the paper full of Crows and other aerial ping-pong shite. Campbelltown City beat Adelaide City (minor premiers) 1-0.

Blacktown playing at Edensor and not Gabbie Stadium?

Lighting, capacity and line markings according to this from SMH

"Despite the disappointment of the game being shifted from their compact Lily Homes Stadium at Seven Hills (due to issues surrounding lighting, capacity and line markings), the Demons are still hoping for a 5,000-plus crowd at the home of Sydney United, where they will again have a crucial advantage. Artificial pitches are the norm in the NSW NPL, and while Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold insists he's fine with the change from natural grass there's no doubt the Blacktown City players are more accustomed to the surface."

Last 2 Quarter Final ties tonight. TV game is Bentleigh Greens at home to Melbourne Victory with the other game an all NPL clash between Canberra Olympic and Green Gully Cavaliers. I'd expect Green Gully and Victory to be victorious making it 2 Melbourne and 2 Sydney clubs in the Semi Finals.

ETA: It will be 3 Melbourne 1 Sydney not 2/2.
