sergie's no1 fan Posted July 20, 2016 Share Posted July 20, 2016 Thinking about the young Scottish talent that have chanced their arm down South over the years made me try a wee bit of research using soccerbase, which admittedly isn't fully updated so we'll see how many mistakes will be made here, what standard of team can be made up of Scottish players down in the Championship that have 'vanished' or not been recognised recently at International level. Will there be any ah remember him? It will include some players that have only played down south too. Defenders - Murray Wallace Kirk Broadfoot Midfielders Lewis MacLeod Andrew Shinnie Jamie Murphy Mathew Kennedy Jack Grimmer Tom Cairney Ross Wallace Kevin MacDonald Strikers - Steve May To be honest I don't think there are too many hidden gems after going through the list. Not many of them will make a difference to the current squad. Some of the younger talent like Allan, Fyvie and Goodwillie returned to Scottish football in the last couple of years but none of them have really kicked on.
