The official Martin Canning to Leave Hamilton Academical as 1st team manager thread.

Better get it up and running. Can sense this thread will continuously float to the top of the Premiership forum until it's March and he's left. Then it's too late and we get relegated from the Ladbrokes Premiership after our third consecutive season. Quote the f**k out of this. I've literally went to the future and seen what has happened

Was watching the highlights of Saturdays game... was it the Hamilton fans singng Canning GTF aye?

Aye after two minutes when Ayr scored their penalty. Fair enough giving him stick at full-time as it was an appalling performance. The players deserve flak too and should take responsibility for their individual performances, not all Canning's fault.

Can it wait till 7th of August?

Long periods of deep gloom and bitter negativity towards players and managers interspersed with very brief moments of indescribable joy (penalty shootout vs Hibs & beating Celtic at Parkhead for the first time since 1938) has always been the Accies supporter way. Not anything like the Old Firm experience of following a team, because the bad times are what make the few good times so sweet in a way a Rangers title or cup win never can be.

You've kind of answered your own question there.

Martin Canning isn't going anywhere unless he chooses to.

I don't think it looks like Canning will have what it takes. He got the spell when he took over to find his feet. Now he's just had a full season under his own steam and it wasn't very impressive. Would imagine if it's not going to well this season, then he'll get the first 3 months.
