I don't mind seeing who gave you positive rep but I think the negative red dot should be left anonymous and let the sad sack who got one to ponder who in hell gave them it. Or more to the point if the poster who gave the red dot wants the poster to know he gave it, then fair enough. I think the main problem with the dots recently was that they were being handed out to the man instead of the post. The dots were intended to be used to vote posts down or up as you perceived it's content. A compromise would be to have no rep count for the poster but the posts can be voted down as posts. If anyone or group don't like the content then red dot the fucker so people can see the post itself is not liked. The poster won't be greeting about getting their posts red dotted because it won't be a problem looking at their reputation, but the forum will know the poster is a shite poster because they have many posts with a negative rep count on them.
