Wtf is going on in the Frosinone v Carpi tie? 9 bookings and two reds for Carpi, none at all for Frosinone and Carpi take an 86th minute lead emoji38.png

One of the Carpi players sent off came on in the 65th minute, was sent off in the 81st. Good effort. Frosinone defender and Carpi keeper got booked just before full-time. Suspect that a square go might have been afoot.

Italian refs can be a bit card happy - although Carpi commited 26 fouls in the game, so plenty of opportunity to rack up a few yellows. They seemed to lose their heads a bit after a decision went against them, not long before the goal, 4 bookings and a red within 3 minutes. They went out to 50/1 to win after the second red too, would have been even bigger by the time the goal came.

Pleasing result. Frosinone are the stronger of the two sides, and given i want one of the sides in the other play off up, they'll fair better against Carpi. Benevento have already dicked them 3-0 this season.

Atalanta finishing 4th is some achievement. There squad will now get torn apart

Kessie having a medical with Milan tomorrow, so there's one gone already. Gomez said at the weekend he might not stay, Conti will likely go, Petanga will probably attract interest too. Hopefully they actually spend a bit of the money they are likely to get. Also got a decent fee for Caldera in January, but they won't see a real benefit of the Gagliardini transfer to Inter until next summer due to it being an initial loan deal.

Spalleti pushed out the door by Roma, despite winning a record number of points and getting into the Champions League group stages, potentially on the way to Inter.

It'll be interesting to see how long Milan go with this new ownership, especially with doubts of where their money is coming from

I am not sure about Kessie joining Milan. Won't be good for him surely.

Seems he's failed the first part of his medical, so might not be going anywhere. I think Milan is a good move for him. There's a lot of bang average/shite players in that midfield, so he's bound to be an automatic starter, so will get plenty of game time to keep developing. Doubt he'd get that at Roma.

Great points you make. I just think Milan is a sort of "poisoned chalice". Can't really think of anyone going there and doing really well recently.

Ac.Milan sign Mateo Musacchio. Huge issues have lied in the centre half position so that is a decent fee ( 17 million i think) that has been paid.

Milan looking to bring in quite a few players in

Seems like a good deal for someone who was a key part of the second tightest defence in La Liga. Although, anyone that forces Paletta out the team is an improvement. 5 red cards this season

Looks like Milan will also be signing Biglia from Lazio, also some interest in Balde.

Ricardo Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata as well. Looks like they're going baws oot this summer. Juve being linked with Iniesta & Inter with James Rodriguez. Going to be an interesting summer.

Perugia and Benevento draw 1-1 meaning that Carpi will face Benevento in the playoff final. Benevento will be at home for the first leg.

Watched the first half on a shit stream, Perugia the better side but both sides created nothing. Pleasing result though. Benevento on for back-to-back promotions and a first time in Serie A. SPAL made it back-to-back promotions this season, so would be pretty cool to see Benevento do it as well.

Romagnoli, arguably.

And Bacca until the last six months.

Roma are a total shambles. Mad to think what they could've achieved over the years had they been run remotely competently. Read somewhere that Totti, on average, a new manager every year and a half. Think how good he was and how could he could have been had he been able to work under a long term manager with a consistent style of play in a consistent position.

Could argue that biggest waste of Totti's talent wasn't that he stayed at Roma, it's that Roma never truly managed him properly or got the best out of him all the time. Took him for granted knowing that his love for the club would keep him there whatever happened

Romagnoli I'd maybe give you. Bacca fucked it, started well but that's Milan for ye.

De Rossi signs a new contract til 2019. Now the highest paid player in Serie A!

The club were obviously desperate to not lose another local legend after Totti because in a footballing sense, he is far from the most valuable player in the league. Glad to hold on to him though

Saw an account tweet that some Moroccan site (maybe the FA) has Franck Kessie's DOB as 1991. rather than 1996. It was a shady looking Inter account though.

Unlucky, as they'll need to get past Parma do so. 8)

Cracking draw this. Lucchese scraped through their tie, and are probably the weakest side left having finished 9th in their group. Parma won both meetings with Pordenone in the league, winning 4-2 away having been 2-0 down, and 3-2 at home having been 2-1 down with a minute left. They did only finish one place and four points behind Parma though. Cosenza finished 7th in their group so aren't much to fear.

Lecce being paired with Alessandria is perfect as they were the sides I was dreading the most, so one of them has to go out this round. Livorno another of the stronger sides in the play-offs also could end up facing one of those two. Ideally Reggiana will make it through as they are pish, with Parma having won both games against them this season. Quietly confident Parma can do this.

In the early kick off, Reggiana beat Livorno 2-1. Obviously, there's still the second leg to go but you may get your wish
