It's a short walk to the pedestrianised shopping Main Street and there is The Corner House ( expensive but classy) and the Cafe Next Door which offers everyday grub at good prices.   The No 11 Stagecoach buses run through the town past the Sports Centre and a wee bypass to the Main Street.  Destination screens show Kilmarnock from the Sports Centre to the Main Street and return by the same bus showing Ardrossan as the destination.  3 or 4 minute journey ... a bus every 8 minutes.

Well done on getting through to the next round of the Scottish today, lads! Another gritty performance seen us win 1-3 away to Arthurlie in this replay! Three well executed goals from Cashy,Ben Lewis,& Monti, getting his 1st for the club, seen us through. 'Lie were unlucky in front of goal, tbh, hitting the bar twice in the 1st half,& Adam Strain keeping them at bay, between the sticks.Once again though,Buffs had 2 goals chaulked off,for off side. Isaac Kerr made a big difference, shoring up the defence, when he came on after half time. There was only one team that looked like winning, after Buffs scored their excellent 2nd goal. That seemed to 'deflate' 'Lie,& Monti put the result beyond any doupt,in the last few minutes. Here's hoping for a home tie in the next round,& look to carry on in this season's Scottish adventure! C'mon the Buffs!!

Congratulations to both teams for a good hard fought cup tie, thought Arthurlie missed their chances first half, after Buffs brought on Kerr Lie never had the same threat, most enjoyable game  I've seen this season, good luck to both of them for the future, Dunterlie, or Abbey park, I'll be back!

Brilliant game at Buffs park today and a massive win for the Buffs against Beith.   The squad has been added to with more quality players so there is plenty of competition for places in the line-up.   Looking good enough now to strengthen their league position and chase a long run in the Junior Cup.

Just watched the "Fitba Shorts" highlights of Saturday's 3-1 win against Beith.Once again, great stuff from Eddie & Bev! As Chris said in the post match interview,we were pretty solid at the back,& we need to keep this up in the coming matches.New signing,Hogg took his goals well,& could be just what we need to get those match-winning goals,& take us up the league! C'mon the Buffs!

Hogg reminded me a bit of Ross Stewart up front who you lost to Albion rovers.

Where did he come from?

Ross Stewart was a big loss,Hertha. He's now scoring regularly for Albion! The boy Hogg had been playing in Norway,& asked Buffs if he could train with them.Chris Strain wanted to sign him right away, after seeing him in a few training sessions! Chairman,John Bennett told me that he had to get international clearance before playing him.

It was Iceland he was playing in recently. He is from Irvine and went to USA on a football scholarship then semi pro team in Iceland and back home again.
