If so, wouldn't it be better for Scotland if they enter at that stage? Get some nice extra coefficient points for pumping some shite from San Marino or Andorra, rather than having their first match in the tournament a tricky encounter against somebody Norwegian or Czech, for instance. Of course, this excludes a Hearts somehow managing to lose to Maltesers scenario. From an Aberdeen perspective it would be better to jump to QR2. We've played in QR1 in the past 3 seasons which has meant very short breaks for the players and running out of steam towards the end of the season. It's possible that we could be in the Scottish Cup final on 27th May and playing in the Europa League on 29th June, it'd be barely even worth giving players time off. No much of a break. At least if they enter QR2 they don't play until 13 July.
