AlansHotBath
Speaking of Rodgers, good news this morning is that he's signed on for the next season. I believe he is the first player we have announced for next season

LongTimeLurker
Definitely on an amazing run, and the right team won today from their standpoint in Spartans vs EK.

LongTimeLurker
The two games against Spartans are probably the key as they will probably need very close to 70 points to do it and have very little margin for error.
MAC THE KNIFE
I`m TOLD 28 POINTS OUT OF THE LAST 30 AVAILABLE LEAGUE POINTS
LongTimeLurker
Think you mean 22 out of 24 given there are only 8 games left and looking at the point totals of the other teams in the mix that looks about right.
zoom
28 from last available 30 is correct. 9 wins 1 draw from last 10 games.
LongTimeLurker
You have already played 22 games in a 16 team league with a 30 game season. HJ has listed the 8 remaining league fixtures that you still have above. Edited February 4, 2018 by LongTimeLurker
gaz5
I think he is saying they have taken 28 from the last 30 after a slow start, not that they need 28 from their remaining games. Talking about current form.
AlansHotBath
I still feel like our slow start has given us too much to do in the final few weeks, and I not hugely confident about taking 6 points off Spartans, but it's fantastic this run has taken us from the season being all but finished in October to the outskirts of the title race. Even if we can't win the league if we can keep up this momentum into the very end of the season there's always the LL Cup

HibeeJibee
Given they only have 8 league games left, it would be quite a feat to take 28pts from them in any case ! In terms of maximum points totals the figures are East Kilbride 74pts... BSC Glasgow 73pts... East Stirlingshire 70pts... Spartans 77pts. However there are still several head-to-heads left - East Stirlingshire v Spartans on an undetermined date; BSCG-EK on Friday 6th April; and Spartans v East Stirlingshire on Saturday 14th April. If, for sake of argument, East Stirlingshire won all their remaining games they would be on 70pts; Spartans could reach 71pts; if EK+BSCG drew they could reach 72pts+71pts respectively; so very tight. "Run-ins" for the contenders: East Kilb BSC Glasgow East Stir Spartans mid-week Civil SS (H) EQC R3 Sat 10 Feb Whitehill (H) ------------- Selkirk (H) Edin Univ (H) mid-week Gretna (A) EQC R3 Sat 17 Feb Vale of L (H) Selkirk (H) Hawick (H) Edusport (H) Sat 24 Feb Cumbern’d (A) Gala (A) Edusport (A) Vale of L (A) Sat 03 Mar Glasgow U (A) SCC R4 Sat 10 Mar Sat 17 Mar Civil SS (A) Gretna (H) Vale of L (H) Cumbern’d (H) Sat 24 Mar ? One interesting consequence is that EK now finish with 5 away games (including postponed game at Whitehill) and BSCG finish with 3-4 homes from 5-6 (including postponed game v CSS) that couldn't have occurred otherwise. 1 hour ago, calmac25 said: Have East Stirlingshire won any cups in the LL yet? As noted they haven't won a cup since the relegation. They haven't joined the EOS Qualifying Cup which leaves them with the South Challenge Cup and Lowland League Cup. Last season they lost to Cumbernauld in SCC Semi-Finals (home tie but played at Falkirk) and at Spartans in LLC R2. This season they lost at BSCG in SCC R3 leaving them with end-of-season LLC still to come. Edited February 4, 2018 by HibeeJibee
cowdenbeath
Shire have done well to get back into the race. The few times I seen them earlier this season I felt they had gone back from last season and a few of the guys I spoke to there had all but written this season off.

Its maybe a good thing in a way that they are not members of the EOSFA and don't have the distraction of too many cups and can concentrate on the league unlike their 3 rivals for the title. One way of looking at it anyway/
