All of this must be so very confusing for the bears.

I mean, Kheredine already has an 'h' in his name, exactly where they would usually add one in.

The guy got it wrong and held his hands up and owned up, tho our g&g friends seem a little upset with him but that's pretty normal for them.

What evidence do we have that he got it wrong?  He, or his paper, were approached by The Rangers and told to 'cease and desist' - and they did.   It's easier to back down than take the chance of going to court.  And they still got the story out there: no one believes the retraction.

He admitted it and then retracted it....

Aye, that's much more likely than him making a baws of it then correcting himself.

Clearly the conspiratorially-minded Ps&Ds who post on here are strangers to Occam' razor.  Oh and for the grey and green dross there's no need to worry - there's no soap and water involved.

And you seriously believe that a company with a going concern warning in its most recent accounts is going to turn down a 6 or 7 million quid profit?

It is, of course, entirely possible.  I'd hope we can take a longer view.

Jim Traynor told him to retract it or else...

Would treat literally any statement or contact with media/journalists from an employee of a club with a Glib and Shameless Director with suspicion tbh (even, or arguably especially considering it's in his interest to maximise any transfer value for reinvestment, Murty) . Particularly when it comes to how much money clubs are offering for their players.

Stevie, a Celtic fan from somewhere that was not Glasgow on the Radio Clyde phone in tonight going mental about the Morelos story.
Would not fancy being Mrs Stevie tonight.
Stevie mate, your team are top of the league. Chill son.

Could've been Tony incognito. And he probably retracted his statement, so everything's coolio.

Just caught up on the Terrible Journalism Thread.  That Traynor bloke, eh?

Controls the entire Scottish media with a rid of iron apparently.

I'm glad that he's on oor side.
