Your right, absolute disgrace! Boy was only there 6 weeks. Glad he will be able to enjoy his football again this season now! Doesn't surprise me with Penicuik though after hearing how they shafted Meikle..

Don't know much else about the club or anything with Meikle but that's an absolute joke for me. Boys having to pay £500 to play football this season haha. Unreal

Yeah confirmed on Arniston's twitter.

Was shocked as they had confirmed his departure to Penicuik back in June using Twitter aswell!

If he has had to pay £500 of his own money without kicking a ball that is a disgrace.

Great start for the new Cuikie management team and players today. Let the players who want to play for the club get on with the job without the dross on here from posters unconnected to the club and without full possession of the facts

Well tell us the facts then if you have them.

Here is the facts...Cally signed out of contract in June for Penicuik  under Mr Meikle...new management didnt fancy him so instead of tearing up his contract and lettng the guy go  they told him his transfer would cost £500..He has not had a penny or any training gear and was told he would not play for the club. To ask for a transfer fee after shelling out sod all is to say the least pathetic. A horrible management.committee.and club. By the way telling Cally they would put him out the game for a year and this coming from a club whos assistant coach is the community football  development coach for midlothian...feck off

More inaccuracies. Let's agree on the facts - he signed under freedom.of contract for the club under the previous manager who then resigned. Penicuik set a transfer fee of £500. No player at the club has yet been issued with a number kit for the new season so he has been treated no differently to anyone, neither have any been paid as the first wage payment contractually is not due until the end of August.
As for the rest of your post the player asked for a transfer - to which the club reluctantly agreed. We now have to replace him in the squad which will cost money therefore as a contracted player we are entitled to request a transfer fee. Clubs expressed an interest and we're willing to meet the transfer fee, however the player wanted to return to Arniston who were NOT willing to pay a transfer fee. As is common at our level.of football the player agreed to pay the 'transfer fee' so he could return to Arniston. No one at Penicuik has told him they would put him.outbof the game for a year or any such nonsense and your comments at the end of your post are utterly scandalous and.mischief making of the highest order.

Horrible way to treat someone, he's £250 out of pocket with £250 still to pay, the boy never received his agreed signing on fee. Penicuik need to repay Cally and let him move for free, complete joke of a club. Farcical

Obviously I am not in the know and only going by what I have heard on here, but if he has not received an agreed signing on fee and they have then charged him to leave that is utterly disgusting. Also makes a mockery of Penicuick saying they will be left out of pocket.

J.Harvey and the players he have brought in look completely out of their depth, He has to take full blame for his new recruits and their embarrassing performance against Bonnyrigg tonight,
Would not surprise me to see them get relegated they were that bad.

You need to get over it, Johnny left Haddington for bigger things. Surely after the great job he did for Haddington you don't grudge him a chance at the big time. He's a great young manager and I'm sure he'll bring huge success to Penicuik, so climb back under your rock.

Looking at the teams only 3 players that The new manager brought in played, you saying that all 3 no up to the task there fault team got beat 3-0

Need to realise they are playing at a higher level and raise their game, at fault for most goals so far this season.
