Pre-season friendlies 2016-17

When? They play six games in 16 days- they surely can't fit many sessions in between them with part time players. Or have you gone all selkirk on us and gone full time.....

Just checked, played 5 last year starting on 11th July away to Falkirk U20 and finishing on 28th at Musselburgh. Mind you Seags had quite a big squad of trialists.

Gala was the odd club on the last day (April 16th) - so their last league game was at home to Threave on April 9th, and they ended with a League Cup R1 tie at EK on April 30th.

It will be interesting to see if the early, long pre-season helps them come August. Manager sounds optimistic but also admits "It's maybe come a week or two early for us but this is a good early test".

Says he has only retained 8 players from last season, wonder if the keeper has gone?

Whose to say Hislop wont have a big squad as well

Seags made the mistake of signing all the trialists lol

Eh, no he didn't sign them all, that's why they're called trialists...

FT - Gala Fairydean Rovers 1-3 Airdrie

It wasn't a bad game for a friendly Airdrie 2-0 up at half time and then 3-0 but Gala hit the woodwork a couple of times and deserved their late goal.

That welsh side must have been pish, I would expect Alloa to get a similar result against Fort on Saturday.

"Porth Tywyn Suburbs".

Second bottom in Welsh tier 7.

Pre-season (post-season?) jolly up Lochaber.

Conceivably they were p*shed...
