And Glencairn will just avoid relegation again!

New season, same obsession.

Nice to see you've raised your expectations for us slightly though. Last season and the season before last you predicted relegation for us, but we maintained our top half finish record in this league. So perhaps you predicting us to avoid relegation this year means that we might challenge for promotion. ;-)

We'll announce our signings for next season when the club feels it is appropriate. As I've said, we can't stop speculation.

That's fair enough glensmad and very respectful to other clubs as well so hats off to you. Heard of a couple of boys that have signed and personally think they will do really well for the glens this year. Super 1st will be as tough a league as ever though every team can beat each other hard league to call.

Thanks, it's the correct way to do things in our opinion.

Squad of 24 already Peter? Big squad, how many are going to get annoyed at lack of game time?

We'll see how it pans out. I'm sure there will be casualties along the way, but it's up to all the players to make sure they're not one of them.

The average age of our eight new signings is just over 23. When you add the seven u21s who are stepping up to the first team, we're not going to be short of energy this season, that's for sure. When you add that energy and pace to the experience of Neil, Eadie, Fraser, McGuire, Muir and Docherty, then we have an interest squad to choose from in the early part of the season.

Good luck to big Mark Duffy at Shotts, except against Glencairn of course.

He came in when we needed a goal scorer and he started on fire, something like 8 goals in his first 9 games. It tailed off in the next 8 or 9 games and he didn't score any more, which coincided with him shaving off that big bushy beard he had when he joined us.

Here's hoping he's clean shaven when we play Shotts in the season ahead.  :P

With only 3 Ayrshire teams in the league we play 2 away 1st 2 away games of the season so chances of us getting a midweek trip 2 Girvan seems highly unlikely (but ye never know with fixture man) all 4 games winnable so happy.

Mon the papers
