There should be punishment for Hibs, Rangers and the police and stewards.

Neil Doncaster and Stewart Regan also.

And the big man for failing to wear his goggles when finishing off the goalposts....

Nope. We had every reason to be on that pitch celebrating. Why did the orcs come on

Rangers fans aren't trusted with open top buses ever and for good reason.

I was suggesting that after a massive and dangerous breakdown in public order a one off sanction would be appropriate and would help prevent this being repeated in subsequent finals.

It's too late now and Hibs supporters may have set a precedent that it will be difficult for police Scotland to rollback

Both teams should have to play all cup games behind closed doors (and no TV coverage) for the next five seasons, and pay what would have been required for policing/stewarding to their opponents. Fans banned from any away ties, and all gate money to their opponents. In the event either makes the final, no fans and no prize money.

Again a load of pish , open top busses are not the done thing in Glasgow and hence why us or celtic never bother with one , even when both teams won European trophies the prefer option was to open the stadiums up for fans and this still carries on to this day

Rangers actually had an open top bus parade planned for returning from Manchester regardless of losing which was cancelled out of respect for tommy burns

The reason there are no open top parades by the Old Firm is because there would be absolute carnage.

These parades would attract the white trash of Glasgow. The underbelly of Scottish society. The very people who support the Old Firm.

Sevco fans were on the pitch fighting on Saturday. I hope Sevco gets hammered.

Nothing. This kind of behaviour should be encouraged. Makes watching the final interesting

It will be enough encouragement if nothing is done about it. If it is only a fine then the club can deal with that no problem.

When we get to our next final I can't wait to run on the park and get it right up whoever we are playing once we have won the game.

It looks a great laugh.

And again the myth if Glasgow being a sectarian warzone begins to come out , the way some folk go on here you would think Glasgow had peace walls and the two groups never lived , worked and interacted with one and other on a daily basis Christ some of them even marry each other

As for the fighting so were hibs fans

Got our punishment with no lap of honour. That's enough. Spoiled by the rangers fans running on the pitch and the rangers players hitting out at hibs fans :(

Was the child snatcher the same boy that made up the song "we're going to take Scott Brown, then Allan" failed at that too ya manky *** c**t.

And that's the point

If post Cup final mass pitch invasions are now "a thing" then they're not all going to go off as relatively peacefully as this one.

The attempts to blame or absolve Rangers fans for their part in proceedings on this thread seem to be of the "Well it was your lit cigarette"/"but you shouldn't have spilt that petrol" variety.

In your dreams mate, your club will have to be seen to be hammered.

There would have been no fighting had the rangers fans not entered the pitch.  There was no reason whatsoever to do so apart from looking to fight.

How can you justify it?

One wee p***k hitting Lee Wallace justifies 100s of rangers fans entering the pitch look for trouble?  Like Manchester Rangers couldn't take it.
