To be honest Aberdeen could have been out of sight by half time but we made it a wee bit more of a game in the second.

First I've seen us this season, thought the young boys were our more impressive players in McGuffie, Crawford & Forrest. Didn't think Cairney was up to much and Murphy was badly exposed a few times.

Aberdeen could have been out of site after the first half but thought we shaded it in the second half. We missed a couple of sitters but Aberdeen hit the bar 3 times. All in it was an enjoyable game.

The youngsters were certainly our best players. Nice to see Crawford in particular playing well. Thomas pretty quiet however nice turn and shot which lead to the goal.

If we can get a centre half in, and Moore back in time for Saturday then I'll be much more confident. Unfortunately it doesn't look like Murphy is going to be able to deal with the increase in pace up a level.

If you're to offer one or the other out of Balatoni and McMillan, it has to be Balatoni. We need a big centre half, all these centre backs under 6ft isn't helping us at the back. No doubt we'll be strongly linked to all 3, Harkins will end up in the premiership with Hamilton, McMillan at Queens and Balatoni with a Morton or Raith.

No need to worry about Balatoni to us, we're finished until at least January now..

Depressing thought but quite likely. Would leave us back to square one; two weeks into the season and still badly short.

Result last night flattered ayr , Aberdeen should have won easily. Wes burns different class . Note to Alan forrest,  get a personal trainer, get some upper body strength or you will always just be a wee boy against men. You have had whole close season but you don't look any different from last season . Crawford,  such a good player but again needs upper body strength . Get a personal trainer . Ayr need height in team in particular centre backs . 2 new full backs should also be on shopping list .

You are a Junior football fan, you don't deserve an opinion on football at this level now toddle along back to the window lickers forum.
