Edit to Add: Forgot we let Naismith go to Ross County as well during the window which probably broght in £30-£50k.

lol wut

Ross County quite simply did not pay £50k to buy out the last six months of a contract, for a player that they had already agreed a PCA with for the summer. Your '£225k + substantial add-ons' claim will be getting similarly written down as well then, you utter fantasist.

How the f**k do you know? The £30-£50k was the development fee since Naismith had been at us for years. RC wanted him now and St Mirren demanded the development fee owed.

I think the bottom line is that we need to know the following,

A) We have money available for 1 or more players but cannot find anyone to sign.

B) We have no money available to sign anyone at the present moment.

C) If the "right" player becomes available then funds may also be made available.

Given that you can't even specify the fee between two significantly different figures, you're not really in a position to be questioning "knowledge" of the deal.

Saint Mirren 'demanded' absolutely nothing because it was an arrangement in which they were largely powerless - they were shuffling a disinterested player off the books six months early. The gullible and gormless nature of the Saint Mirren fanbase - willing to swallow their club's bullshit spin at every opportunity - explains a lot about your hilarious predicament.

I realise that since Morton are such a diddy team and do not even have a squad in the Development League that your ignorance of Development players will be extremely limited.

Jason Naismith is a Paisley boy and St Mirren supporter who has been as the Club since his youth days. He was happy to sign a extended contract to stay at the Club but given our precarious situation the Club could not offer him a deal that could match RC. No 'disinterested' player involved. He signed a pre-contract for RC. St Mirren are due a fee if he left now. The player was willing to stay. RC paid a development fee as they wanted him. Naismith's friends post on our forum. Your ignorance is growing. Best be quiet until you can find a subject you know something about.

Here you can read about the undisclosed fee....

Or McAllister's fee here.... (must be 'How to show your ignorance Day' in Greenock today.

All the years I've followed Ayr, I can't ever remember a time when we didn't have at least 3 strikers on our books and I mean SIGNED players not someone else's Loan players.

Some may say that football has changed and they may be right, however that could also explain falling attendances as people are sick to the back teeth of watching football at every level played the same pathetic boring way with big dumplin defenders passing the ball backwards and forwards across the edge of their own penalty areas just waiting on an opposing player dispossessing them and sticking it in the net. Not to mention players who just will not even attempt to beat their man as of course the easy option is to turn and pass the ball back the way. As for tackling, oh we can't have that as one of the poor boys might get a sore leg or a wee kick on the ankle.

So Yes, maybe we don't need any forwards at all and can just play for 0-0 draws each week so long as we "win" on the all important possession stats.............

If this was Roberts or Reid they would be getting hounded out imo. McCall getting an exceptionally easy ride.

Probably because we aren't losing very often. Yet.

There's also the school of thought that we're now indoctrinated into believing that we are a League 1 club who has a good season every so often and gets a shot at the "big time" in the championship. That's what happens when you have no ambition and just begin to accept the unacceptable as the norm............

Forwards signed by Championship sides in this window:

Dumbarton - Lewis Vaughan, Christian Nade
Dundee Utd - Thomas Mikkelsen
Dunfermline - none, but already have 4
Falkirk - none, but already have 6
Hibs - none, but already have 6
Morton - Lawrence Shankland
Queen of the South - none, but already have 4
Raith - Ryan Hardie, Ryan Stevenson
St Mirren - Rory Loy, Cammy Smith

Ayr - none, but already have, eh, 1.

Massive five days ahead for McCall. Messing up this window will surely relegate you.

We have 4? In theory we do. In fact in theory we've got 6 but Aidan Smith is out on loan to Annan, Steven Rigg is out for the season having had cruciate ligament surgery and Dale Hilson has been out since the end of September albeit he was cleared to start light training again from next week. We've got two forwards in Dobbie and Lyle and young Lyndon Dykes as back up although he's spent more time playing as a wide man this season than as a forward.

I was counting Dykes and Rigg, didn't realise the latter is injured long-term.

We've also used 19 year old Ross Fergusson from the 20's for 2 or 3 short cameos of a few minutes, including at Cappielow on Xmas Eve when he should have scored late on from a quick free kick but panicked a bit and shot too early.

Rigg was injured in training before our Scottish Cup exit to Albion Rovers.

McCrorie signing for Dumbarton sums up this utter shitfest. McCall stating he wanted him back at the start of the season. Local boy, on loan at us last season, would inject some badly needed pace into our side but he goes to out relegation rivals :thumsup2
