Were a joke of a club ....time for us fans to get together and make our feelings clear what we want for our club ....no point on all the fans moaning on here everyday ....saying that if we were sitting in Dumbartons league posistion everybody would be wanting to build a ian mcall statue in the car park

The 500 club is a view that Ayr fans have no interest in fan ownership, look at the terrible response from the fanbase to that.

If we stay up (IF), i get the feeling one of McCall's wishes will be to get an AstroTurf installed at Somerset for 1 of 2 reasons: A: We seem to play slightly better on an artificial surface. B: It would bring us in a lot of extra finance with us obviously being able to rent it out.

Our pitch hasn't been quite the financial success you'd think.

It's been in for nearly 4 years and it's expected to only last for another 2-3 (advertised with 8-10 year lifespan)

We'd hoped to get nearly £100k in rent a season (so it pays for its self in 5 years), but we've probably only managed to get about half of that.

Of course, we'll only need to replace the top layer next time around which is cheaper. So it should make money...eventually.

Saying that we haven't had a single game postponed since we moved from grass, which must have saved the club from losing out on a fair bit of cash (our under soil heating never worked properly).

For weeks it had been apparent that St. Mirren had strengthened significantly enough to overtake us; the target is finishing above Dumbarton - as it was at the start of the season - and Raith.

Dumbarton far superior to us at the moment unfortunately. Raith just as bad but have a start on us.

With it looking like Ayr will be bottom of the league by Saturday evening, hopefully it's the wake up call for them to start digging in. There's still time for them to pull it around and it's still in their hands. Still got a feeling it could go down to last game of the season, Ayr away to Raith, St Mirren away to Hibs, Dumbarton at home to Falkirk.

The most frustrating thing is that every other side around us seems to be capable of pulling a win out of nowhere. Our only win was a scrappy one in a piss poor performance against a rubbish Raith team with a midfielder in nets.

Weve got a few games coming up where you would expect a team fighting for their lives to pick some points and indeed wins up. Pars away, Dumbarton home, QOS home. Even St Mirren away. But in all honesty i dont see much more than a point or 2 there, especially as St M away comes after a probable midweek pumping at Tannadice.

Its just depressing and somewhat familiar that we seem to be meekly going down without much of a fight

We all knew St Mirren would finish above us. Still feels like a kick in the balls despite the inevitability of it though.

On the train home to Ayr. Very happy with 3 points but not counting any chickens. If there's one team that can f**k things up its us.

If you don't finish above us you should be ashamed and should just fold as a club. We are utterly dreadful.

I genuinely think it will be down to us and raith for battling it out and the end of the season.

Dumbarton and St Mirren have enough to pull away, although it's all very well St Mirren beating Hibs and Dundee United but they need to now beat the 'lesser' teams in the league.

Like us you mean?

They easily dismissed us at Somerset just a few weeks ago.
