Lichtie78
Absolutely fantastic, thought the throwback bits were brilliant. Scene in the Rangers pub is funny as f**k
lionel hutz
Really enjoyed it, soundtrack was top notch, but it's just as good as the original, very tough act to follow but Danny Boyle is a genius. The scene with 1690 was absolutely hilarious. Only cost me £4.95 at the vue in Aberdeen

The way they put some of the old stuff in to tie into modern day was great plus more than a few nods to the original. Francis Begbie is possibly my favourite film character of all time. What a boy This.
scoobles
Very, very good. Seemed like I was one of the youngest in the full cinema but well worth the £9.75* to get in and see it. Also the first time I've been to see a film on release day. * £9.75 at Showcase Coatbridge can be dodged by simply waiting a week for it to be up on Kodi. Be closer to July than a week for a UK film to hit the net. Don't think I Daniel Blake has been released yet
DAFC.
Ideal ideal date film - has a bit of everything. If she doesn't like it she wasn't right for you anyway. She enjoyed it, mate. I thought it was better than the first up until a certain point. Still a class movie [emoji108]????
RadgerTheBadger
It is indeed. Got to start off at the deep end! A half decent shot of Ewan McGregors arse might just get her juices flowing for you mate!

Silas Stingy
I would love to see this since I adore the first one and I even own a special edition orange LP of the soundtrack to it. It's very frustrating how I don't cope too well with being around crowds of people in places like Cinemas. All I have to say on that subject is f**k Anxiety to the deepest pits of hell. I will just have to wait until it comes out on Blueray.
Alan Stubbs
Can't be arsed cutting my thoughts into spoilers, skip this if you've not seen it yet. Really fucking enjoyed that. Goes without saying that it wasn't the original but they did just about as good a job as possible. The original was so definitively of it's time and yet practically every part of it has become a cultural meme of it's own that they were practically obliged to reference; a tough ask to follow up and yet they pretty much nailed it. As has been said the only throwback that didn't quite work for me was the 'choose life' monologue. It sold the trailer and was beautifully written but for some reason it was the only scene that felt tacked on and out of place for me. Danny Boyle still kens what he's doing eh, stuff like the James Cosmo scene was outstanding. Some soundtrack as well. 10 hours ago, Shandon Par said: T2 It was emotional. Loved it. Edinburgh looks amazing too. Think I'd need to watch it a couple of times to get my head round it. ...and absolutely horrendous at the same time. Boyle, Hodge and co just get it. 10 hours ago, Shandon Par said: No spoilers but there's a scene where a couple of the lads head west to visit a Rangers-minded boozer that's worth the entrance fee alone. zidane's child
Just back from watching it there and I can't add too much from what has been said. It was a great film to watch and the cast were brilliant. Nice to see a pub from my town of Clydebank in it as well! The Orange Lodge scene was brilliant, I was hoping for a reference to Hibs' Scottish Cup Win but that scene will do nicely instead!
Staggie_93
Really did the first film justice, absolutely superb! The Mr Doyle scene

Shandon Par
Kernode says what I was trying to say,, loved it but it felt so personal that it's hard to say how someone who is not a male aged mid 30s-50s would view it. Cosgrove, Welsh and Wark do a good job of summing up its cultural significance for Scotland.
throbber
Better than the original I actually couldn't sleep last night with all the emotions I had gone through.
mozam76
Absolutely fantastic - an instant Scottish classic. Some genuinely touching scenes, in amongst the madness. The way T1 is woven right the way through the film is incredibly clever.

They filmed that on the P&B **** night out. It's well worth the 20 year wait and that sound track[emoji108]
