Nothing quite like a pre season friendly vs Hearts in Cowdenbeath on a Sunday at 2pm to let you know we're definitely back in the small time.

I'm looking forward to a trip to Cowdenbeath more than any of our league cup games.

Hearts in Cowdenbeath on a Sunday. What a truly bizarre game to open to the public. Expecting folk to traipse through to that shitehole and pay a tenner for the privilege is taking the biscuit.

Spoiler

Might go to egg that c**t Edwards.

Surely the fact this is a Sunday means hearts are sending a team of kids to play us?

Not really. Cowdenbeath could have refused to hire the ground on the Saturday to allow them to play a friendly/use it for training.

Why Cowdenbeath and not Tynecastle or Firhill ?

Because Tynecastle and The Energy Check Stadium at Firhill won't be ready to host the game. Hearts are installing a hybrid surface and, as is evident in the photos of Thomas O'Ware's signing, Thistle are re-seeding the pitch and it won't be ready until the 17th of July.

Is Firhill still going to be called the same crap name that it was last season, this season??

Say it ain't so, Joe.

No issues if it is as it's literally money for nothing. Handy when we don't even have a shirt sponsor.

We have far more pressing concerns, imo.

Which begs the question...why are we playing each other and (presumably) paying Cowdenbeath to host it?

Just as well we didn’t get a home game 1st in the League Cup, then
