The "unionist" part refers to the union between Great Britain and Ireland, not Scotland's absorption into the UK. Ruth doesn't appear to know this.

Yes. We have discussed Davidson's ignorance on this issue previously. It's surprising that her colleagues, especially the Sevconian Murdo Fraser, have not dealt with it.

Despite their campaign being at pains to make them seem different from the UK Conservative Party, they are the same. So all the abhorrent policies Gideon, Cameron et al are inflicting upon the UK are the same policies Ruth Davidson and the other selfish scum up here in the Scottish branch support.

Thatcher left office over 25 years ago and died a few years ago. Yet some people still can't get over her. She would enjoy the permanent seethe. Time to move on and look to the future.

Once a c**t always a c**t; time doesn't change that.

Didn't have much time for Thatcher either.

No but she prepared the ground for millions and millions of us to improve our lives and consider ourselves part of that class.

For that, most of us are grateful. Many of us may be embarassed to admit it but most are grateful.

You and Wings Over Scotland proving that support for independence doesn't stop you being a right wing roaster.

Disappointingly good result for Tories but will make heehaw difference to next Scottish parliament as SNP will be able to govern quite comfortably.

Any vaguely left of centre policies will see them backed up by Greens.

Working-class folk voting Tory as a protest vote makes as much sense as turkeys voting for Christmas
