Albion Rovers FC: Season 2016 - 2017

Recommended Posts

Why not ,heard Stewart has signed for use what about prunts ,lister, cox these guys just want to play football !!

If Stewart has indeed signed then I think we may well be two defenders away from a very good chance of staying up!

As mentioned on page 1, I'd welcome all three of those guys from Airdrie- as long as Prunty and Lister were OK with only one of them being in any given starting eleven.

Neil parry won't sign for rovers I can guarantee that.

Can't see Rovers wanting to sign him - that's nothing against him as a keeper. More likely we will try and re- sign Ross Stewart who is developing into quite a good goalie

Yes spence or the boy Thompson at Brechin

Really just someone who will put the ball in the net every week

If rumours are to be believed we're (Dumbarton) keen on signing both these guys with the Thomson deal looking pretty likely.

Its almost a certainty that we will be looking for a new manager.....how would you guys rate Darren Young?

Nowhere near good enough to manage a team like Raith Rovers. Look elsewhere.

Why is Andy McNeill scratched out? Who is he signed for?

I read that McNeil was offered terms with Morton - I deduced that even if he turns them down he'll be out of our range.

It looks like Megginson is in a similar situation, but if we dodge losing our manager to one of the bigger clubs with vacancies, Darren might be able to attract his old team-mate to the Rovers.

A very ambitious list none the less.

Deliberately so! If we got one or two of them in, as well as keeping most of last year's squad together, I'll be fairly optimistic about our chances next season.

As time goes by, I'm pessimistic about us keeping Ally Love and Ross Davidson. I wonder what Mick Dunlop wants: a player-coach role? If so, give him it quickly, I say.

Ally Love highly rated by you lot? He was certainly your best player in the matches against Brechin...

Yes - well appreciated by us. Great combative attitude, decent on the ball, and, most importantly, an eye for goal. I'd say our division is his level but if he wants to go FT, Airdrie would be the obvious direction for him.
