Dalry v Girvan

Recommended Posts

Was at this game yesterday and a Dalry player produced one of the best hooks I have seen in a long time. I think he knocked the Girvan player out and can only hope he is okay. He seemed very groggy as he made his way back to the changing room.

Sjfa should make an example of the lad in question and banish him from the junior's, the grade dosnt need scum like him.

An bit harsh to say scum. Apparently he is just a young lad so need to berate him as Scum. He will probably be hit hard by the beaks so should be a valuable lesson for him

as for the boy looking to other way. lot of shit. the punch was in reaction to being booted in the head while he was on the ground. shouldn't of thrown a punch but hard man kicking a boy when he's on the ground

The boy that got hit was Wee Rab Patterson. Had him at Whitletts for years, and never once seen him kicking out or being overly aggressive. Couldn't meet a nicer boy, so id be very surprised if he's tried to break anybody's leg. To be knocked unconscious and taken to hospital for a kick out is shocking no matter how the Dalry ones try and gloss over it!

Maybe Scum is harsh, but going by his dad's posts I don't think he'll learn his lesson. Maybe a Darly official can come on and tell the full story.

this thread is pointless. all the girvan players have moved on from what has happened and just want to concentrate on win there last games and playing football. Dalry and the sjfa will sort this an set the correct punishment for the boy that done it. Also it was a good game until that incident which darly did play some nice football but lost there way in the second half with girvan stepping it up and making the correct changes just after half time

Bad tackle and silly reaction. Not the first time and won't be the last in any grade of football.

Jordan will learn hie lesson and I'm sure he will be dealt with by the management and committee of Dalry as well as the SJFA beaks.

Dalry physio was first to attend to the boy who was decked. He was not knocked out but was very groggy and paramedic was called as a precaution. He walked to the paramedic vehicle.

Really no club can be held liable for a player once he crosses that white line.

Everyone at Dalry wishes the Girvan player all the best.

No excuses for what happened at the end of a very entertaining game where Dalry had the better of the first half and should have put the game to bed but Girvan came out in the second and got the early goal then dominated for 20 minutes before Dalry came back into it.

Youth against experience where in a mad second youth lost the plot.

Time to move on now?
