Brechin City Season 2016 / 2017

Recommended Posts

He has and it's been confirmed by the club. Our 5th signing so far.

Fester's no hanging aboot .  Some team he's building. ........On paper at least ! He'll be desperate to put one over his previous employers. Be funny if he manages to relegate them !!!   :P

Nothing wrong with that. Usually good games (bar the last one) and a decent away support.

yeah never said it was a bad thing. Yeah last one wasn't great but Dods did well to throw a team together for it so could have been worse

With Hammy rejecting a deal at Alloa, must say I wouldn't mind seeing him back at the Glebe!

If Dyer has agreed to stay then Hamilton won't be even considered.

I was under the impression Tiger was Stirling bound. Would be a very good addition to any league 2 side. Don't expect any technique, just a real honest hard working player who will give his all.

It doesn't, but players can agree contracts and terms. They just can't be registered until that date.

Yes but it also means they can change their minds.

Doesn't happen often but it does now and again. Dick should know that as it happened to him more than once at Brechin.

Does it? Who did it happen with?

AFAIK it's exactly the same as signing a pre contract. Players contracts will officially expire the end of May, end of season. Then they will be contracted to another club for the following season. Clubs can then officially register them.

Of course, Scott Agnew did it with us last year, but that's a pretty rare occurrence.

Last season, Michael McKenna agreed to sign for us and then went to Berwick instead. Scott McBride agreed to stay too before leaving to go to Albion Rovers.
