This did not happen. Talbot v Cumnock games are always cordially participated between the two teams. It only goes downhill when the big media get involved ;-)

Talbot v Cumnock has by far the most potential for hype and problems. But gotta agree with the Beith/Kilbirnie game and hatred. Think they are edging it at the moment due to the fact that Cumnock have been really poor over the past few seasons and their fans not bothering to come to the games

Been to Beith/Kilbirnie, Talbot/Cumnock, Arthurlie/Pollok.

Majority of course involving Beith but seen the others 3 or 4 times with mixture between league & cup.

Arthurlie & Pollok games for me didn't have a heated atmosphere, tackles flew in but was below the others for a derby.

Talbot & Cumnock get the bigger crowd of the Ayrshire ones & previously were at a higher level due to the competitiveness. It is a derby you have to witness if you're a junior fan. However Cumnock rarely get a result now it seems, so not at the same level.

Beith and Kilbirnie have the heated atmosphere & two sets of singing fans like the Talbot and Cumnock but on a smaller scale. The level of the teams is closer so usually more competitive. Having said that, Kilbirnie last won a league game against Beith in 2001. But unfortunately Kilbirnie have the habit of winning the bigger cup games like West semi in 2008 & Scottish cup last 16 tie in 2011.

Some of the older Dunbar fans can tell you hair raising tales of Dunbar v Tranent games in the past. You might have thought Dunbar v Hadyingtong would have been the derby game but it seems Dunbar v Tranent was the big fixture.

That can't be right surely? That must be at least 20-25 matches?

Both clubs havent always been in the same leagues though every season since 2001.

Ladeside fell down to the district league which would have ruled out a few years worth of league derbies and ourselves have been relegated to the super 1st division which would have ruled out league derbies too ï¸as ladeside would have been in the super premier league .

Every supporter will think their derby is the best no doubt. It's what makes us fans

I would agree but Rob Roy vs Kilsyth Rangers is very tame in recent years. Was a lot bigger years ago

The ever sharp Clash tells me it's 11 games.

Talbot v Cumnock. Unfortunately the game has lost its sparkle as Cumnock are shite and keep getting relegated, plus their going to be playing on a plastic pitch.

The latest gossip is talbot are going to install a new surface!the prefered option was 4g until they were informed that that is only for phones. The new surface is made of sliced bread as it is apparently a better surface than 3g.the crusts will be removed 25 yards from each by line so not to complicate set pieces.the lines will be marked out obviously with your prefered option.grated cheese was mentioned along with wholemeal bloomers.

Think we won at your place something like November 2000 and haven't won in the league since.

But your right, Beith weren't in the last Ayrshire Premier and the first 2 super league seasons we weren't in the same division.

Think this is only the 6th season we've been in same division since super leagues began, 11 games would prob be about right then as clash says.

Still a long time to go without a derby win though.
