Does violence happen ? Nope. Only with The Rangers with their long established track record of taking defeat like a bunch of fannies. There were some idiots from the Ayr end who were trying to goad stranraer fans. The stranraer fans either laughed at them or fucked off home. The way it should be. A small amount of fans? There was sizeable number of hibs fans who headed straight for the bears, attacking players and staff on the way. It could have been a lot worse than it actually was but the vast majority of the bears stayed put. Firstly if they were shown around the world then I imagine there would be a general shrugging of the shoulders and a thought of "is that it? How tame". These folk follow a big team because they need somebody else's frequent success to fill the hollow void in their pathetic lives. Another year with just a Challenge Cup to show for it on the national stage, losing to Hibs of all the sides after a big afternoon out in the pub will certainly not help any state of mind. Not a Man Utd or Chelsea type glory hunter, but one who actively chooses a team with an internationally known history of bigotry. You can guarantee if Rangers fans (a 4 year old club) invaded the pitch, the exact same fans who are calling others 'morons' would be the 'morons' in that scenario. If it was Motherwell we'd run on.
