Watch it Championship Chumps, many years ago when you were in the big league, you had a record of 1 win in twenty matches. It makes Hearts current form look almost acceptable. ;)

Ian Cathro officially has a worse record than terry butcher did at hibs. Enjoy your trips to Alloa in 2018/19

Now, obviously Hibsing or 'to Hibs' is now a word or phrase in common parlance. But is it being used properly?

Yes.

What should the rules be for truly Hibsing it?

Snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Should there have to be a history of failure prior to the singular Hibsing event, or is it acceptable for a usual non-Hibser (say Jordan Spieth) to have a moment of Hibsification, and this is still valid?

There should be a history of colossal collapses, 'what ifs' and dark days immediately prior to the 'Hibsing event'. The exception to this rule would be Hibernian Football Club Club: their consistent success still constitutes 'Hibsing It' as they are the originator of the term.

The core rule is clearly :- To win a match, or event, having been in a strong losing position, where victory would, in usual circumstances, be unthinkable.

Happy 'Hibsing' Day!

Bet your glad you won the league rather than face Hamilton again in the play offs?

Nah, would rather have played Dundee Utd in the play offs.

Wait ...

2013: Three nil up at half time in a Scottish Cup semi final against Hibs, only to lose 4-3 in extra time.

Falkirked it.

2014: Can't even remember, didn't go up though. That's for sure.

Falkirked it.

2015: Equalised against 10 man Inverness Caley Thistle in the Scottish Cup final, only to lose 2-1. No cup since 1947.

Falkirked it.

2016: Leading 1-0 from the first leg, nice trip down to Kilmarnock, pumped 4-0 whilst "the ultimate bottlers" Hibs have their Scottish Cup parade.

Falkirked it.

2017: Another second place trophy to celebrate, but an exit to the DABs as soon as you entered the play-offs.

Falkirked it.

ETA - Let me know if I missed any out, Bairns.

That's a tough one

Id have much rather celebrated 2nd then got pumped by a shite Dundee United team. That was the dream.

Difficult to say which was more shite, the current Dundee United team or the Hamilton team you beat at Douglas Park then totally bottled it at home.

I will go for the latter...
