His grandad was born in Scotland but is registered as English or something, meaning he can't be called up. Remember Levein trying to call him up and Hooper was all for it.

Would he be the answer anyway even if he was eligible? Yes he scores goals but so does Jordan Rhodes and Chris Martin who play in the same league, both of whom haven't exactly set the heather alight for Scotland. Martin in particular looks like he's towing a tractor when playing for Scotland

Doubt he would be. FWIW we already have the answer in McCormack, its a shame we've waited until hes 29 to actually give him a chance

But Hodgson might not call up him to England squad at Euro 2016

People can't play competitively for two countries, Craig.  Andy Carroll's been capped competitively by England.

And Gary Hooper isn't eligible for Scotland, so he can't play either.

I watched Fletcher play for Marseille the other night and thought he done fairly well. They were putting quite a lot of balls into the box though. His link up was decent, too.

Has he scored for them since that first goal?

Anyone got Chris Iwelumo's number?

Might as well he is slow as continental drift n scores as rarely as Steven Fletcher n steve naismith......perfect for the wgs project. ...disappointing that Middlesbrough having signed Rhodes have revitalised their promotion challenge with him linking n playing well...doesn't fit the narrative
