Our main stand genuinely looks more modern and will stand the test of time longer!!

Yes it is nicer than your South Stand, but there is still plenty concrete and scaffolding on show.

The outside will look more than good enough when it's all said and done. The state some folk are getting in for one reason or another is incredible.

Inside will be more than that, though. It will be fucking immense.

Hibs fans ain't going to start a standwank with that architectural one-off surely

Fair play
They've got a couple of splashes of 80's stone cladding on the west stand to add some kind of character and it's been done pretty tastefully

By which I mean

It could have been worse

We've played a few European games at Tynecastle since the Murrayfield games. Notably an utter gubbing by Gareth Bale's Spurs and a spirited, but ultimately unsuccessful, effort against some bricklayers from Malta

Fixed that for you chief.

Did Hibs not release a DVD of one of their European defeats?

AEK maybe? Seem to remember Luna scoring to secure an unprecedented 3-2 victory on the night.

Description
Hibs took to the field on September 25, 2001 needing to climb the proverbial mountain in order to reach the 2nd round of the UEFA Cup for the first time since 1989. With a team including Franck Sauzee, Ulises De La Cruz, John O'Neil, Ulrik Laursen, David Zitelli, Ian Murray and Craig Brewster, however, Hibs still had a chance against a strong AEK outfit who held a 2-0 lead from the first-leg in Greece. Despite the narrow extra-time defeat, the match is widely regarded as Hibs' best European night since the mid-1970's. This video includes the full re-rerun of the 120 minute encounter and gives a great taste of the blistering atmosphere at Easter Road that night.
