I have to say I'm a little embarrassed by the snp's 'performance' in Westminster today at Prime Minister's questions.

The leader (is it blackford?) stumbled through his question, saying breakfast instead of brexit. He also repeated himself, resulting in a telling off for not being brief enough. The question itself was hardly great either.

Then someone else rocked up with a red card for the linesman guy who is doing the champ league game tonight. A completely immature and embarrassing publicity stunt that was again, quite easily slapped down by May.

Every question May is asked by the SNP is answered the same way, and it's no different to when Angus was there *sniff*

"well regardless of whatever you just said, independence would be much worse."

I agree Ian isn't as strong but, the contempt which the speaker and the group of c***s opposite hold the SNP is astounding. If Bercow had kept order or the moon-howlers had stfu Blackfords question would have taken no time at all.

I agree the whole institution is full of condescending arseholes.

But Robertson always seemed to ask very good questions, even if the answers were non existent.

Blackford stuttered and repeated himself. But the red card stuff was completely pish.

It's lucky that PMQs is an utter waste of time for everyone involved. Think the only people that take it seriously are those weird fuckers at Buzzfeed that run Fantasy Politics websites.

Yeah it's entertaining but unless there's a major f**k up it never seems to make a huge impact.

So the Frigate saga continues. 13 Type 26 Frigates were supposed to be built at Scotstoun with that yard configured as a modernized "Frigate Factory" with a view to churning ships out for both domestic and export markets. The usual economics around military orders in peace time interceded and the planned yard upgrades were dumped and the order split into 8 type 26s alongside 5, less capable type 31e Frigates to make up the numbers. Inevitably, the 5 Type 31e ships have been taken from the BAE Scotstoun yard with BAE teaming with Cammel-Laird in Northern England. This leaves the Clyde yard with only the 8 type 26s, a near enough 40% cut in what was meant to be the work that secured it's long term future.

299 to  0 is the vote count in the universal credit debate but it means nothing as it will be rolled out anyway,Tories and the Dup abstained from voting

Three line whipping an abstention on a vote over one of your flagship policies because you know how unpopular it is really is utter cowardice. Either three line whip to vote in favour of it or ditch it if you know you still can't win enough support from your backbenchers even with that option.

I know they don't want to force the issue as it'll only lose more ground to Labour, but how much longer are the Tories going to let May go on? Are they determined to wait until Brexit is done before twisting the knife so she can be the one to take the blame, with the risk of all the other damage she could do to their poll ratings in the years that'll take?

WHEN it comes to Europe, the poor old Conservatives just cannot catch a break. Take Douglas Ross, newly elected Tory MP for Moray. There he was, doing his bit last night for UK-EU harmony by serving as an assistant referee at the Champions League game between Barcelona and Olympiakos. For a previous match in Europe, Mr Ross was paid £1,436 for one and a half hours’ work. Fingers crossed he does not have to wait long to receive payment for last night. That would never do.

Is an MP's salary not enough? How many jobs does he have?

Tory minister Clare Perry has said in parliament, that Scots should stop whining about the cancellation of the carbon capture incentive and the loss of a potential 600 jobs, and just cheer up. Still no mention of frigates on STV news, but SNPbad for the ferries, well I never.....

Travel and accommodation paid by eufa probably, as they will have to provide a neutral officiating team.

Of course, but calling it an hourly wage for 90 minutes is daft. More like 2 days probably.
