paisleysaints
Didn't see anything wrong with the move. Only moves once to close the door. Other way around would it even be mentioned.

Certainly would have been described that way by the Sky cheerleading commentary team. Mercedes aren't saying they don't think they have a case, they are claiming they withdrew the appeal because a decision wouldn't have been made until just before the US grand Prix. IainMorton
On another note, it was only during the Malaysian GP last weekend that I had remembered that Maldonado isn't racing this season. Shows how much we all miss him

Mackie The Staggie
Off topic. I think in one of the previous F1 threads someone mentioned the book "Crashed and Byrned" about Irish racer Tommy Bryne, which by the why I thoroughly recommend if you haven't read it yet. Well there's a documentry coming out shortly and it looks great, can't wait

Hulkenburg needs to get some big results now, can't see him sticking around in F1 for much longer, so maybe one last attempt. Renault badly need an experienced F1 driver to develop the car, they need to step up a level and show they are serious and committed or yet again the bosses might pull the plug on the team. It looked for a while that Renault were going to sign the French Manor driver Esteban Ocon but with his experience it might just be like for like if its Palmer being replaced and the team might not be able to squeeze the best out of the car and the resources available and move them forward. That's not to say either driver wouldn't succeed elsewhere, Renault need a balance when it comes to drivers. The Renault this season has been the biggest disappointment of any team, a Grandee team and engine supplier with a huge budget often found battling with Manors and Saubers during the race. Jamaldo
Great drives by Alonso and Sainz.Really hoping that Sainz won't end up as one of those drivers that spends 2-3 years at Toro Rosso, doesn't get promoted to Red Bull and then ends up without a drive full-stop. He's been really solid.
vikingTON
Alonso has absolutely wiped the floor with Button, particularly in the second half of the season. There's a clear gulf between a world class driver and a lucky championship winner.
