Comedy OGs #1: A bit windy down Thurrock way

Check here for the most ludicrous wind assisted own goal you'll see in a long time.

Romford drew 1-1 with Thurrock this week, and the game was played in the middle of so-called "Storm Barney". I appreciate games in the Ryman Division 1 (North) would normally produce a Partridge shrug amongst most fans here but that curvature is pretty special.

Can anyone remember (or even better, post footage of) comedy weather-induced OGs?

That is pretty outrageous.

In terms of wind assisted goals, I recall Mark Hailstones scoring for Clydebank in a Scottish Cup game at Petershill a few years back. It's a bit of a wind tunnel up there at the best of times, but this match was played through gale force winds. Even watching replays of his corner it's still not quite believable that the ball curled in.
