Romford drew 1-1 with Thurrock this week, and the game was played in the middle of so-called "Storm Barney". I appreciate games in the Ryman Division 1 (North) would normally produce a Partridge shrug amongst most fans here but that curvature is pretty special. In terms of wind assisted goals, I recall Mark Hailstones scoring for Clydebank in a Scottish Cup game at Petershill a few years back. It's a bit of a wind tunnel up there at the best of times, but this match was played through gale force winds.
