Pleasantly surprised by the vocals, he kept it in his 2018 range, which was DEFINATELY the right thing to do. However, the set is very, very bloated now at 3 and a half hours. Often tours revolved around whether Axl could be arsed to show up. Now I’d rather keep my memories of those times than pay to see a band just going through the motions for the pay cheque. I’ve seen various members of GnR in various guises down the years in terms of projects that Duff, Slash and Matt have been involved with. Still nice to hear them actually put stuff out though. Slash's solo a bit "meh" compared to the original by Robin Finck but it works fine. A tune called The General which has grown to a somewhat mythical status amongst hardcore Guns fans. Bar a poor quality clip that someone recorded on their phone at some club back in 2010 (Axl turned up and played a load of unreleased material), it's never properly leaked. Had elements of Estranged but with an almost Sabbath sounding riff and Axl screaming super high over it. Load of orchestration on top too. Even though he's hit and miss live at this point (He was unreal with AC/DC but never been the same since), it's just nice to hear more material from them.
