Zen Archer (Raconteur)
Some boot at the Lord Mayor's Show two minutes silence with a selfie stick, presumably to show everyone on FB how solemn she was.
Cardinal Richelieu
The 2 minute's silence was observed impeccably by everyone in Tesco today. Everyone, that is, except me - who didn't realise it was on and broke the solemn silence by requesting "Two lucky dips for tonight please". Oh, and the old guy behind me who, after about a minute of silence, blurted out "ARE THE COMPUTERS DOWN HEN?"

D Angelo Barksdale
Not one poppy on show today as I took the kids to the park earlier. 11 o'clock came and went and was marked by the sound of children laughing and playing. Kids these days just don't show any respect.
Gaz
Falkirk's very own Poet Laureate has penned a touching tribute to the fallen: The spirit of Remembrance. Watching the crowds All gathered today Standing in silence Heads bowed now to pray. Tears fill my eyes That I cannot take part I stand here just watching It's breaking my heart. So much pain, so much suffering So much sadness, such fear Fills the air, time stands still For all those they loved dear. Sad memories cling In the atmosphere there Friends, families and comrades Left behind, who still care. So many still mourn For those no longer here Who fought for our future Sacrifice made so clear. They stand, show respect And remember those Who gave of their lives All brave comrades too. I slip away now But no one can see I've paid my respects And I'm sure you'll agree. That all I desired Was to come one last time To represent those War cut off in their prime. For I am long gone Just a spirit of those Who died to save all In your heart, keep us close.
