Poet of the Macabre
A complete and utter humping. Scored four and it should have been double that. Missed a penalty, Douglas made a few good saves, last minute blocks and some sitter missed by Faissal. The football was just terrific to watch at times, especially the period in the second half where we would get a chance, Forfar would clear and then we'd get the ball back and start another attack. Play anywhere near to that level for the majority of games this season and we will win the league comfortably. However, the Peterhead game shows we can't take any of the games lightly. Enjoyed seeing the fans unveil their "Pars Family Welcome Refugees" banner. Didn't enjoy seeing a steward tell them to stop it from blocking an advertising hoarding. Paul Hartley in the director's box on Saturday. Maybe he didn't want to be stuck in the house on a Saturday afternoon...

Managers like Hartley are always going to games in the lower leagues when they can. Our game was an obvious one for him to do so since he had a free Saturday and it was just up the road. Never know who you could spot at such games if you're a manager.
DA Baracus
Should also note that we had a deeply juveline chuckle at the name of the local MP who had an advertising board on the stand side near the corner flag. Mike Weir.

Probably watching the young lad we have on loan from Dundee, Andy Black.
mikedafc
Presuming no deflection that's 2 errors in 2 games for Douglas

The right back had a bit of a mare for our first goal. Could see in his face that he realised, too late, that he'd fucked up.

He did look out of his depth, to be fair to him he's not likely to face a guy like Cardle in that kind of form too often in this league.
strachalele85
I think that's Dunfermline on 36 goals in all competitions so far this season. Counting backwards from the end of last season you would have to go back to October to accumulate 36 goals.

ParsJake
Should be doable. Especially as we have Cowden three more times this season This got me delving into the archives, so for those who're interested and/or looking for a record for the DA to have a go at, here it is. It was Raith's second division title win in 1937/38 and their stats were: P34 W27 D5 L2 F142 A54 Pts59. "Raith Rovers, with 142 goals from 34 games, amassed the highest aggregate of goals in a league season in British League football. On their way to this record, they set another, by losing only two of their League matches, the second fewest in any post-1919 division." I'm sure they also put 13 past Edinburgh City in one of their games. Can't knock that, and the Pars have an extra two games to beat it as well. For the record, Pars finished 9th in Division 2 that year and our record was: P34 W17 D5 L12 F82 A76 Pts39
parsforlife
Another good win What do forfar fans think of Douglas? Seems to be costing you goals semi-regularly now.
