Sorry for the bump but a jaw-dropping document has been released.

Kids Company wrote to government ministers saying that if the charity was closed it would be the equivelent of the death of a parent and that the charity's clients would descend into savagery, with a high risk of looting and arson attacks on government buildings.

What a view of the children the charity purported to support - helpless savages whose first instinct would be to violence. It's right out of the 19th century. Interestingly I haven't seen any rioting since they shut down.

Thanks for the bump, Chris. So does anyone know what those Kids Company heroes actually did to prevent the carnage?

Just heard her get a roasting from MPs on "Today in Parliament" (look, I'm not that sad, just couldn't be bothered changing the station after Rob Newman's comedy programme). Batman? Batshit more like.

Always was; and that's the worrying thing. Her organisation was a channel of funding for her clients to pay their dealers.

Evidence given to the HoC enquiry by a journalist, contains some details given by clients and workers at Kids Company

What a dispiriting read.

It also gave an insight into some of Kids' Company's spending. Funded a woman in her thirties accommodation for over 10yrs. Ms Batmanghelis could never answer a straight question. She laughed her way through the programme in a disconcerting way. You wouldn't lend her a fiver far less "invest" tens of millions in her world.
