Pish Adverts

Recommended Posts

Why not take an inspiring and motivational song with a self-esteem raising message for children everywhere, then slightly alter the lyrics, so that it becomes banal and irritating, purely to allow you to sell more dishwasher tablets?

Phuque you, Finish Quantum!

Has anyone else noticed McDonalds creepy new advertising strategy seems to be to sexualise their female staff?

Now you are meant to wait for your burger and dream about the life you could have with one of their employees. It helps that the ones in the adverts are beautiful models.

Don’t just order a burger! Have a wee daydream about pumping our staff too!

Mdac technology. Just what?

The crypto-currencies that die before they have bloomed http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-44778022

“One example is an advert which has probably bemused millions of viewers of ITV's World Cup coverage. The ad, played during half-time, features a cosy home scene where all the domestic appliances appear to be trading energy with each other.
A caption says: "Hdac Technology is building the future with the blockchain solution." Hdac, a South Korean blockchain business, must be paying a fortune to place the adverts in the most expensive slots of the year.
But even if anyone understands what on earth they are about, it seems unlikely they are going to rush out and buy a blockchain to get their microwave to talk to the kettle.
Maybe, however, they will think they need to go on a course to understand this brave new world. If so, two of Britain's most prestigious academic institutions can help. “

Anything to do with betting.

But those infomercials for bingo etc show us how much fun the boys and girls, of all ethnicities, can have together. Usually closely and helpfully followed by an ad for a lender. What's not to like?

That stoopid Viagra advert with the Steve Harley song, "come up and see me".
Surely they would have been better using his other song "Mr Soft".

Primal Scream - Get Your Rocks Off, would have been ideal.

George Formby 'With My Little Stick of Blackpool Rock'
