TBF they made a comment at half time, when every game was 0-0, about hoping one goal in Scottish football would open the floodgates.

I trust the press have been quick to pounce on Pedro for naming his team more than 24 hours in advance, and then failing to win the game?

Or are they going to Lord it up as a moment of genius that helped the club to a crucial point, before telling us all in 18 months when he's sacked that they had their doubts all along?

To be slightly fair, at least to SSB, they seemed pretty on the fence about it.  They weren't saying that it was some kind of genius moment, more edging to the side of "that's a bit silly".  Remains to be seen how they treat it after the fact.

That comment has been taken out of context - it was an obvious reference back to this earlier post about there being no goals in any of the games.

Yeah, for all the things you can hit the BBC Live Text with, this isn't one of them.  They were purely referring to the fact that there had been no goals, nothing to do with thinking that Celtic would pump Thistle since they got 1.

Tanner is n utter zoomer and Sky are an amateur outfit where Scottish football reporting is concerned. How could he possibly stumble so incoherently over a simple league table, unless heads gone of course looking at sevco position!!!!!!

Derek Ferguson criticised it on Sportsound. Although he did it in such a Derek Ferguson way ("it's aw about prepurashun") that his point was a bit lost.

Isn't preperation a part of the job?

Even if he hadn't prepared, he took 15 seconds to process 64-52=8. You're right, he should prepare.  He should also have spent his whole career looking at league tables. Its simple incompetence. And noone at Sky gives a rats arse.
