Cue yoon wailing and gnashing of teeth. Very decent (if short) article. My desire for Scottish Independence would be zero, if I thought that post-Indy, the electorate would turn more right wing (than rUK) & move away from the progressive vision the SNP have at present. However, I believe that won’t happen & that things will only get worse in the UK after Brexit. I also believe that different factions of the Indy movement will splinter in the event of a Yes vote.
DA Baracus
Westminster could introduce prima nocta to Scotland and folk would happily give up their wives for their precious union. It's completely baffling why anyone thinks the union is a good thing. In fact it's fucking mental.
Benjamin_Nevis
More feckin underhanded skullduggery from the cuntservatives; They have been quietly selling off Scottish Crown Estate assets to private companies to the tune of £1.5 billion so far with all the money going to Westminster and none to Holyrood. That's Scottish land being sold to line english pockets. How much more treachery on this scale can we take? Loads. We're a nation of fucking serfs.

Witness how any question of the UK ceding even moderate powers to a higher institution has them up in arms. Even the remainer parties were arguing that the EU should return powers (see Cameron’s “concessions” won from Europe), because apparently political unions are inherently bad and independence of political decision-making good. Yet despite their recognising that countries should be sovereign, independent bodies, they bend over backwards to exclude Scotland from this rule. It, uniquely, should never, ever achieve what they demand for the UK and every other nation on Earth. To British nationalists, this particular union is uniquely amazing. The fact that the way it operates is something they’d never stomach for the country they identify with - the UK - passes them by entirely. It’s all about emotion: not politics, not economics, not an ironic, feigned dislike of nationalism, but a purely emotional blindspot. DrewDon
Decent article from Deerin posted above. Quite refreshing to read a piece on the SNP and Scottish nationalism from a Unionist author that doesn't amount to "bUt WhAt AbOuT nAzI gErMaNy!!11" or another of Daisley's Ctrl+V jobs.

The Nazi accusations are fucking weird, given Hitler dreamed of incorporating the Germanic nations into one sovereign state run from Berlin, under one flag and one leader. That doesn’t sound much like Scottish nationalism to me, but it sounds awfully like what UK nationalists celebrate about their own Britannic union.

sergie's no1 fan
So back on topic. When are the SNP going to call this second referendum? I don't think there is going to be a 2nd indyref, the smart plan is to let the Tories split the UK up.We've had Mundell say within the last week that Scotland isn't a partner in the UK we are only a part of it, which goes against the Act of Union.
