7,800 fewer than expected deaths.

New figures show that Scotland’s world leading patient safety programme has cut hospital mortality by over 10 per cent across the period – meeting a key aim 15 months early.

Imagine if we could run the whole country this well.

I see that's not a BBC headline

I'm sure they'll get round to it.

I was half expecting that to provoke a response along the lines of

“Bad news Jocktards 7,800 more old buggers still alive to vote No if you’re daft enough to try again”

They need to get back to the day job.

If they had let those fuckers die, the NHS budget wouldn't need to be as high.

SNP really are top bois. Imagine the mess a Labour Scottish government would have us in (Wales prime example) or Tory Scottish government (UK prime example). We're lucky to have the SNP looking after our interests, truly the political custodians of our dear land....

Imagine Jackie Baillie in charge of things *shudders*.

Funnily enough, and I don’t know how true this is, that Scotref is now off the table and that there will likely be an election next year after Brexit. Apparently the SNP will then fight that election on the issue of independence, then try and call indyref2, knowing it will probably be rejected and then using the next Holyrood election as a de facto independence referendum.
Again, that could be nonsense, but that’s what I was told.

You can't really rule anything out such is the crazy state of UK politics.

A lot depends on Tory infighting and how bad that gets  - will it get that bad to bring down the government?

If there was a General Election Corbyn would be up against Boris or Mogg. He ain't exactly doing great in the polls against May and her dysfunctional government.

If Corbyn and Labour end up the largest party they will almost certainly require the help of the SNP to get the keys to No.10 - no way will he get a majority.

I would imagine powers to hold a legally binding referendum will be top of the list for Nicola Sturgeon for propping up Corbyn.

Unfortunately time is not on the side for Nicola. She needs to make a decision on indyref2 soon.  Does she gamble on another pro-indy majority at Holyrood or does she implement indyref2 on the mandate her government currently has in this parliament term?

We know Westminster won't make it easy if she does go ahead with indyref2. She has to turn that into an advantage should there be either a Westminster or Holyrood election  before we can hold a referendum
