Talking of Wolfsburg, some turnaround in the fortunes of their playoff opponents last season, Eintracht Braunschweig. Promotion playoffs last season, this season, very possibly facing Karlsruhe in the relegation playoffs or even automatic relegation if Greuther Furth get a good result against Heidenheim on Sunday (they'd better fucking not). Greuther Furth 1-0 up on Heidenheim . Eintracht Braunschweig getting battered 6-2 off of Holstein Kiel and are currently going down automatically. Aue are in the relegation playoff spot just now but a goal against Darmstadt would put Heidenheim in the playoff spot.

Todd_is_God
Very very odd scenes in Nuremberg. Lose the league in injury time to your opponents, having been 2-0 up and needing only a draw, and invade the park and party anyway! Astonished to see Braunschweig go down. Narrowly missed out on Automatic promotion last year, and didn't look poor when i saw them in Berlin in September.

It’s not that odd really, they’ve been out of the Bundesliga for a number of years now and are finally back. Sure they fucked it today but I’m not sure they’ll be too upset.
Brummie Clyde
Don’t know a lot about Erzebirge Aue, who we’re playing in the Playoffs. Hopefully do better than we usually do in them.

I just felt that they might have been a little bit subdued in the circumstances - bit of a bed shitting job!
football10
Bundesliga champions finally celebrate trophy With a 27th title under their belts, Bayern Munich have underlined — as if they needed it — their dominance of the Bundesliga. Bayern have been so successful that the bulging Allianz Arena trophy cabinet must be straining at the seams, with the Bavarian giants having loomed large over German football for most of the last four decades.

German Jag
Injury time goals, to make it 3-2, from Füllkrug & Harnik gave the final score some „respectability“, but didn‘t really disguise the gulf in quality between both sides. 1-0 for the hosts after 3 minutes. Thankfully their penalty 3 minutes later was missed. Alario got his 2nd 10 minutes after that, with Brandt making it 3-0 10 minutes after the restart. All in all a success of a season following last year‘s promotion. Thankfully enough points were picked up before Christmas, in order to overcome the drop-off in form thereafter. Final game for club stalwart Stefan Kiessling, who came on for Leverkusen wirh 7 minutes to go.
Brummie Clyde
Kiessling was very good for Leverkusen. Think he was Bundesliga top scorer a few times. Never really made it for the National team though.
