Mgc1910
Don't think our relationship with the airdrie fans will be improving any time soon...
el Gringo
Who cares, players move on and are replaced. Can't hold anything against the player or Ayr fans for that, and from what I've heard the Club weren't given the chance to make him an offer. He decided he was going and that was that. Big deal. Neilly
Boyle and Devlin are as good as it gets at this level best full back pairing since Mitchell and Holt at QOS on paper anyway.
airdrieman
Cracking signing for you. Don't begrudge Boyle at all. Most likely getting more money and a longer contract. Would be daft not to go for it. Just disappointed in the club for not offering a better deal that would have convinced him to stay.
Jan Vojáček
1 down. Welcome to the best part time club in Scotland Patrick. He's joined Ayr, no' Dumbarton Deano...
ayrunitedfw
Looking increasingly likely that Trouten will sign tomorrow. 18 goals from midfield last season. Another good signing.
Young Eddie
Can't cope with this signing excitement. It's not even June yet and we are actually putting together a squad. No matter what happens next season we've already made huge progress from the Marko era.
dmkeenan85
He's joined Ayr, no' Dumbarton Deano... Haha good point... They made me feel very welcome last week. Ayr shade it thought.

Buckfast
I didn't think Trouten was very good first time around, will be dissapointed if he signs again.
Kitty_Boy
I didn't think Trouten was very good first time around, will be dissapointed if he signs again. He's scored 38 league goals in 68 appearances for Brechin since leaving us. Not sure why anyone would be disappointed with us signing a player with a goal record like that. I wasn't his biggest fan when he was at Ayr but I don't think Brian Reid used him to the best of his abilities and he did have injury troubles if I remember rightly. Always good to weaken a rival, too.
United1973
I agree kitty . To many players over last 5 years not used properly

bazka6
Yes, not sure we need him now, perhaps already decided not to sign hence Boyle. Quite like him though, might be a better option than Donald in midfield?
ayrmad
I didn't think Trouten was very good first time around, will be dissapointed if he signs again. I agree with the sentiment of your post Sarge but I'll give him a clean sheet, hopefully McCall's style of football can bring out the best of the boys abilities rather than what we got for the majority of his last spell in a defence minded team. callum-ayr
If you don't want a player that has scored 50 goals in 3 seasons for a team that has been around the play offs/title from midfield then you need your head tested. Yes his last spell at the club wasn't successful, however, different time, different team, different manager.
United1973
Might not even sign ?
North Terrace Gazza
We have a proper manager now and if signs will be used properly and the goals will flow, we badly need a free scoring midfield player, welcome back Alan.
D.Armour Appreciation Society
Trouten's display, for Ayr United, in the Play-off Semi-Final in Forfar, was one of the best individual performances I've seen in years.
