The Great Big Kilmarnock Thread

Lee McCulloch would have been part of the problem if the fitness wasn't good enough last season, unless he's just admitting that he was a glorified yes man as assistant?

Scott Boyd apparently has been appointed as an assistant to the chief executive.  He just graduated with a BA in Sports Management.  It's unclear whether he'll receive additional pay for the role, but he'll remain a player.

He's only been sponsored by Kirsten & the club till he qualifies, has to do a 6 month work placement to get his BA which the club has agreed to.

Correct. Kirsten was helping to tutor him through his exams as well. It's a really nice touch by the club.

He was referring to preseason fitness levels, it took till November last year before the fans started to see an improvement, as Lee Clark was in charge, he made his feelings known but Clark persisted in his methods.

The first thing LC did when appointed interim manager was get rid of the cyro chamber, changed training times back, and altered the training methods & diets.

Assistant to the Chief Executive or Assistant Chief Executive?

I'm glad he is taking it more seriously. The Berwick game last year we looked like a pub team in first half. Can't be like that when we go to Ayr

Don't know how accurate this is as it's from The Sun, but one of the lads on Kickback just posted it.......

BOLTON’S bright young striker Alex Samizadeh is joining Scottish side Kilmarnock on loan for the season.

Samizadeh has been prolific for the Wanderers reserve and youth teams but boss Phil Parkinson thinks he needs first team games.

Killie chief Lee McCulloch will put Samizadeh into his squad
for the start of the season as he puts a new look team together.

Samizadeh, 18, was born in Iran but raised in England. He is also tipped for international honours
