Dindeleux
It can only be a positive moving forward and I was certainly in the MJ-Out camp but he did do the odd good thing here and there. -

KillieCon
As much as I despised him for many things that happened during his time at the club it is unfortunate the way things have turned out. Hopefully this will allow us to move on and start to repair the damaged relationships the club has with the fans / community / local businesses etc.

C4mmy31
From Stephen McGowan... Daily Mail Lee McCulloch will be appointed as the club's new manager in the middle of next week. His appointment will follow Friday night's shock departure of former chairman Michael Johnston from the board of directors. Negotiations to tie McCulloch down to a permanent contract will move towards a conclusion after Saturday's final home game of the season with Ross County. He has been awaiting news of his fate after keeping the club in the top flight and sources told Sportsmail that negotiations were held up while Johnston's status was resolved .......due to debt restructuring deal with Bank of Scotland, Johnston will retain his 40 per cent shareholding until 2019. Following a lengthy campaign to force the club secretary from the board of directors, supporters groups on Friday night welcomed a fresh start for the club following years of disharmony. The board now consists of Billy Bowie, holder of a 40 per cent stake, and fellow director John Kiltie. The club recently penned a six-figure sponsorship deal with QTS and are likely to trigger new negotiations with businessman and fan Chris McMail after he offered an investment of £750,000 on condition Johnston stepped down. Barry Richmond of the Killie Trust said: 'We think this is the opportunity we have been waiting for to turn things around. 'People are genuinely sorry for Michael Johnston, as you would be anyone, for what happened with his wife. That has clearly influenced his decision. But we can now begin to look to a new future. We went from average gates of 9,000 to just over 3,000 and it's been getting worse. Michael Johnston's presence has been the catalyst for much of the decline. 'He still has his shares and where they go may be the next issue, but as it stands he has no operational control of the club and his shareholding will only come into play for constitutional issues.'
