D.A.F.C
Instead of buying Paterson, Barrowman and George we could have kept Ugwu and Forbes and been a much better side.
gingapar
Instead of buying Paterson, Barrowman and George we could have kept Ugwu and Forbes and been a much better side. Forbes was shite for us, Gozie was expensive and not any better than Barrowman in a Pars Jersey.
GordieBoy80
The old "would you rather burn or freeze to death" Given that by your own admission you hardly attend games your opinions are worthless.
Parscelona
Said it before and will say it again anyone who doesn't see that we're better with Moffat than without him is absolutely fucking clueless about football, well either that or they don't go to games. Someone saying Messi or Ronaldo are over-rated would rightly be accused of being absolutely fucking clueless about football. Suggesting that a 31 year old League One striker whose only scored one goal in his last 26 games might not be good enough does not constitute being clueless. Clueless are the ones who have suggested at various points of the season that he will soon go on a goal-scoring run, how has that turned out? For the record, the only game he wasn't involved in this season we won 4-2. Also i wouldn't keep any of our so called 'strikers', they're all fucking useless. GordieBoy80
You've already proven yourself to be clueless on this matter tbh. Recent examples that we are better with Moffat in the team Brechin at home, created absolutely nothing after he was inexplicably substituted. Forfar away, performed noticeably better after he came on.
Parscelona
What's the main job of a striker?
Islay
Moffat is an intelligent footballer, anybody who watches Dunfermline matches on a regular basis can see this is the case. However his goal scoring record is obviously appalling and is in complete contrast to last season, he is clearly being mismanaged. We are a far better team with Moffat in the side though, that is indisputable.
GordieBoy80
What's the main job of a striker? Admittedly to score goals but dropping deep because the service is nonexistent doesn't help. At Brechin away Moffat was delivering crosses when he should be on the end of them. Watch his movement and link up play during a game (if you go to games that is and don't just rely on the highlights to form an opinion) then come back and name one player in our colours whose overall game is better, remember it was his shot that was cleared off the line into Barrowman that got us back into the game the last time we played Stenny. Not excusing some of his horrific misses this season though.

JF-DAFC
If any of our other strikers could hit a coo's erse with a banjo he'd be dropped. But as it is he's the best of a truly terrible bunch.
We Are Pars Fans!
Forbes was shite for us, Gozie was expensive and not any better than Barrowman in a Pars Jersey. Agree 100%. Gozie was terrible and Forbes was even worse.

D.A.F.C
When we had them we were challenging for the title, now where are we? Sorry for pointing out the facts, if you think that's attention seeking then fair enough. Maybe the truth hurts that you were totally wrong again. We Are Pars Fans!
Top scorer but was rotten. Couldn't win a greaser, couldn't control the ball and passing was piss poor. Plus the fact he was on a high wage made it a no brainer to get rid.

Sorry for pointing out the facts, if you think that's attention seeking then fair enough. Maybe the truth hurts that you were totally wrong again. I do think you are attention-seeking. You surely aren't seriously suggesting that if we still had Ugwu & Forbes we'd be challenging for the title? Ugwu had 3 or 4 half-decent performances in 4 months (one against Stirling Albion) and Forbes, sadly, just didn't seem too interested in playing for Dunfermline. Scosha
Forbes was shite for us, Gozie was expensive and not any better than Barrowman in a Pars Jersey. Forbes has been great for us since he joined.
da_no_1
Forbes has been great for us since he joined. Utterly irrelevant, trust me he was a waste of a jersey for us. A shame, as he clearly has talent, but for whatever reason (probably shite coaching, tactics & the fact we didn't sign Darren Dods) it just didn't work out at EEP for him. DAFC.
Forbes had quality. For whatever reason he didn't turn up for most of his time at us. When we signed him I was really excited as he was quite an important player for Partick when they won the league 2 years ago.
D.A.F.C
Utterly irrelevant? It's very relevant, it's an indication that our tactics and coaching did not inspire him to play to his potential. We'll see in two weeks when Morton end our challenge for the top four how bad he is.
