That was in 1958 when their group ended Northern Ireland 5pts, Italy 4pts, Portugal 3pts. They won both home games but lost both away games, whereas the Northern Irish got a draw away to Portugal. Funnily enough they actually drew in Belfast - which would've won Italy the group - but it was declared a friendly as the appointed referee's flight was stopped by fog. Australia desperately need a striker. Juric just cannot hit the target and when Cahill plays, the whole team plays worse. But he's the only one who can actually score...
