It wasn't so much on an innovation but more of the fact he was A.fitter than the other makeshift center halfs and B. over 5'8" If there was any other option it was normally taken (Craig Beattie for instance) so its hard to see it as a failure when you knew it was going to fail in the first place And he was pish at left back also, not as pish as at center half.....but pish Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
