diegomarahenry
Most of us knew Longridge was decent. The only folk that didn't notice are the current management team. Reid can take the blame for losing Mitchell If I remember correctly Ayr were looking to retain Mitchell but offered him terms after the deadline so he was free to move elsewhere and did
D.Armour Appreciation Society
Mitchell better than Douglas and Scully? Douglas is 42, and Scully is a loan player. Signing a Goalkeeper aged 24 would be a better bet than those two, 12 months down the line, IMO. Not good enough for Ayr United.
harry94
I thought David Mitchell was in his 30s based on seeing his name around on Football Manager. Been around for ages.
itzdrk
Mitchell is better than Scully due to the fact that Scully is no very gid
Ludo*1
Scully's always impressed me when I've seen him and Rab will be cruising this league. - This comment is said with pretty much zero knowledge of the league except from the fact that Chris and both Graeme Smith's get a regular game in this division. Anyways, is Rumsby any good and what is he like as a CH?
Dug
If I remember correctly Ayr were looking to retain Mitchell but offered him terms after the deadline so he was free to move elsewhere and did Correct. We only lost Mitchell because of an admin blunder (one of many).
Neilly
Mitchell is better than Scully due to the fact that Scully is no very gid Very much this.
1870ToonBlue
David Mitchell pesonally deserves this shot, his improvement over the past year and a half has been phenomenal kicking, handling, command of his area is getting there full time football and he would be flying. We would all be gutted to see him go but no one would ever hold him back terrific attitude hes shown over the years. Did Ayr f**k up again seems to be becoming a habit.
Shandon Par
"Hullo is that the Scotsman? I'm from Hubs. We want to sign Stranraer's keeper and top scorer. We hope this doesn't distract them ahead of their cup replay." "Okay, it was a shite plan"
Poet of the Macabre
I guess if conceding the least amount of goals in the league whilst playing behind a shite defence makes you "no very gid" then I agree with you. He's just about the only reason we're even in the top four just now.
Blue-Orchid
Are you thinking Pettigrew or Gallagher or Rumsby , I feel Pettigrew is the better of the two defensively, Longridge maybe better going forward. Give Longridge credit, he's came on leaps and bounds since the begging of the season. If anyone in our team could play at a higher level I'd pick Rumsby or Bell. jimmy 1
Hibs were watching young morton goalie in under 20s game on sunday. Obviously not for 1st team football just now but boy is a decent prospect
Ayr Utd Youth
Big Jackson impressed me when I seen him play for Ayr Utd 19s last season , best of luck to the lad. Blue-Orchid
Deal has been agreed apparently for both players to come to Hibs. When? May be ripped up if Hibs watched them yesterday. Longridge is no loss at all Mitchell would be a big loss.

beefybake
From reading back through the original reports, got the impression Hibs wanted a No. 2 goalkeeper. Think that would be a waste of Mitchell.
