Unleash The Nade
Doing the rounds on Facebook just now. Hedgecutter
Doing the rounds on Facebook just now. I don't know who to pity most here, the guy pretending to be the Marine, or the guy who confronted him Reminds me of first year of uni where loads of people claimed to have played rugby at high school. You'd have some skinny cnut claiming that he played hooker etc etc.
JamboMikey
Getting a discount for being a squaddie The Americans and their pathetic jingoism and subsequent fawning over their armed forces is an embarrassment.
Hedgecutter
Getting a discount for being a squaddie Do members of the armed forces not get discounts from certain companies in the UK? I know they can get 1/3rd off of Scotrail with a rail card.

Fuctifano
Bit disappointed, thought this was going to be along the lines of Fake Agent / Taxi / Hospital.
ICTChris
There are loads of people who pose as ex-Special Forces. I remember reading a South African site devoted to 'outing' people who had fake online bios claiming to have been in the apartheid era paratroopers etc. Seems a strange thing to boast about, I suppose it could open doors for private military work. supermik
Bit sad really trying to impress others with lies. I was going to pass myself off as a soldier once but I couldn't find my camouflage outfit anywhere.
dorlomin
Dressing up as special forces to go shopping but not being able to lace your boots properly! Deary me. I can see why the other guy was so pissed off. A bit OTT but I am not surprised he called him on it.
dorlomin
I would think the exact opposite, quite frankly. Nah there is very good money in it. There was a company that specialised in it although RSA has made being a mercenary illegal.

dorlomin
Actually the biggest issue is the campaign medals That is illegal in the US (possibly also here). Geezer is lucky someone did not deck him.

No, I meant somebody masquerading as ex service when he wasn't would get found out pretty quickly when applyng for "private military work", not that such work isn't available or doesn't pay well.
