ayrmad
I'm pleased to see Ayr showing their support for the local foodbank, hopefully the majority of fans lend their backing to this initiative by turning up at Saturday's match with a bag of groceries. http://www.ayrunitedfc.co.uk/south-ayrshire-foodbank/
etherglide
It's a sad indicator of the country we live in that people in Britain have to rely on food banks.

Shandon Par
After the pie in the sky ('scuse the un) of the Hugh Clark pish it's good to see something genuine and worthwhile in relation to Ayr United. I'd rather read about community efforts like this than someone wanting to drag Ayr down the Gavin Masterton route of football club management. Dunning1874
Interested to see how Hugh Clarke spins this as Lachlan Cameron being evil. In all seriousness, fair play. Good to see a club doing something for their community .
Poet of the Macabre
Good to see and no good reason why other clubs shouldn't be doing similar. Outrageous they're needed but that's another argument for another day.
Rob1885
Great stuff. Top effort by the club. Imagine voting to keep foodbanks though eh?
Cliche Guevara
From experience I'd recommend anyone wanting to donate to consider giving a pot noodle or two. Not often thought about, but very versatile and extremely useful for this kind of thing.
Poet of the Macabre
As good a thread as any to plug an appeal from Stirling food bank: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/charity-web/charity/displayCharityCampaignPage.action?charityCampaignUrl=fruitandveg
