Brechin v Stranraer

Recommended Posts

lets hope for a marked improvement this weekend and hope that our run of 1 win in 4 is not the start of things to come !

Stranraer by all accounts played very well against Livvy last weekend , so we ll have another hard game ... Any word on Trouts ? Time for our more experienced lads to stand up and have more influence on the game Jacko , Fusco , Macleans and help the younger guys along the way !

Brechin may play a trialist in the game this weekend, has been training with the club for several weeks now.

Scottish player who has a few caps for Scotland.

We are certainly going to be thin on the ground. Hamilton, Tapping, Malloy, Trouten, McAusland all unlikely.

team to be

Smith

McCormack, Gerry, McCormack, MacClane

Fusco, Masson, Cameron

Barr Jackson, Thomson.

Two goalies as subs, Ferguson, Jackson.

We will be along similar lines to the team that played against Livingston. Still out are Pettigrew, Robertson and Bell. There will be a few niggles and knocks after the livi match. Mitchell looked to suffer a shoulder injury and Gibson who wasn't really fit last week might struggle as well.

Are we talking a full Scotland cap or at youth level?

If it's a striker then it screams of Derek Riordan. Or god forbid Garry O'Connor or Kevin Kyle.

Full Scotland caps and youth level as well.

O'Connor is under contract with Selkirk FC.

Not sure what the rules are for playing a trialist, do they just turn up and play or do they have to get permission from SFA to play player.
