Stevie Aitken's Love Child
Just a question chaps, but do Ayr have any debt on their books? That could be debt to banks, soft loans to Directors etc.

Shandon Par
Here he is slipping a wrap to JP McGovern. If he's a successful businessman and has been sponsoring games for a wee while and not run a mile then maybe it bodes well. A few of the folk now running DAFC were sponsors/lenders/investors/suckers to the old regime and they're certainly not from the Claude Anelka school of footbal chairmen. Cliche Guevara
I remember when Administration used to be a threat, now it's something to look forward to. It's clear now that football teams can't die so everyone should just do what they want. Champions League in three seasons, Administration and back here in six. Worth it. Stevie Aitken's Love Child
£1.5 million at last published accounts, mainly to Lachlan Cameron. Cheers for the that. The reason that I asked is that Douglas Rae has said that, as Morton have approximately £1.8 million of debt in the form of loans to him (or parent company Golden Casket Group) then only an idiot would buy the club from him. This news suggests that there are people out there willing to buy clubs in the lower leagues, even those saddled with substantial debt, which would tend to prove Rae's theory wrong. That's probably not so much to do with the debt to be honest.

DA Baracus
Ok Ayr fans, listen up; - Start signing good players; don't wonder how you can afford them - Gain promotion to the Premiership - Sign internationalists but don't wonder how you can afford them - Obtain high finish in the Premiership with a wage budget that is 120% of turnover and reach the Scottish Cup Final in which you play well but lose - Despite having a decent squad, flirt with relegation but stay up; some of the best players leave - Get relegated; more good players leave but you still keep some despite now getting much less money in - Go in to administration - Lose most of the senior players; get relegated - Despite being forced to play previously ignored youth players, start banging about your 'young team' as if it's some sort of unique move that no one else has done before and pretend that it is a choice and not a necessity - Come out of administration with new owners and no debt

honestly united
Knowing Ayr we would waste millions, not get out the first, go into Admin and be the first team since Gretna to go out of business and not come back. Oh and Restoraroof to fix the roofs of loads of other clubs in Scotland, but not the Somerset road end

Snakebite
Ayr are a decent sized club from a decent sized town, they are capable of a lot better than being a middle ranking second division club. Should be an established club a league higher IMO.

DA Baracus
After the takeover and assault on the Premiership; Be prepared for the moron element of your support to suggest just going into administration on a whim, as if it's an easy thing to do and will magically solve all your issues over night. Be prepared for the moron element of your support to cry about the administrators being paid, as these fucking idiots think administrators should do it for free or at a drastically reduced fee for some reason. These same morons will also cry that the administration period is taking too long and the administrators are only doing it to get more money for themselves.
